BILL OF RIGHTS DAY: Celebrate the Sixth Amendment
"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where in the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense."
Consider the implications of certain provisions of the Patriot Acts which deny Sixth Amendment rights to certain accused in the name of national security. It is always in the name of safety and security that people close their eyes and allow violations of inherent rights--rights to be protected by government, not given by government.
Open your eyes and elect a new government while you still can. Out with the old and in with the new. If you want real change vote for Constitution Party candidates, the only political party whose platform is based upon the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. The Constitution Party is based upon fundamental principles given by God to Mankind, "that all Men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights", rights which no Man made government can bestow or take away unless we, as individual sovereign citizens, allow it.
